Our Culture Model
An individual’s identity is influenced by the culture he or she grew up in and lives in. Our Culture Model explains why people act, perceive, and interpret as they do. In this model we draw profiles of individuals’ cultural identity. From the comparison of the different profiles we can draw conclusions about their similarities and differences in management styles.
Our Culture Model is fully explained in the book "The Cultural Advantage" where we call it the Model of Freedom. In the Dutch publication, "Culturele Intelligentie", it is called "Cultureel Passe-partout". The figure above gives you an impression of its simplicity on the one hand, and its powerful potential to explain and reconcile cultural differences, on the other hand.
